From balance sheets to balancing poses

Suman Maheshwari :

I started my career as a finance executive with SAIL, Steel Makers to the Melbet Though the steel plant had 40,000 employees, I somehow felt seen. I met my husband there. We got married and raised a lovely family with two beautiful kids. Still, leaving the job to enjoy those fun growing years of my children was an easy decision to make. And it proved to be a life changing decision.

I started doing yoga for my post natal needs, to help me find balance and grounding, after the upheaval a little baby represents. Other young mothers in my community shared that they were facing similar challenges and joined me on their yoga Melbet That became my first teaching experience, though I didn’t it know then.

Melbet forward a couple of years: I was ready to work again, but now the balancing asanas of yoga had more of a calling than the financial balance sheets of steel companies, and some cosmic plan brought me to Dhaka.

I am so grateful to Bangladesh. I found so much receptivity here. My Melbet base grew. The more I taught, the more I grew. My spiritual journey blossomed here.

I educated myself from Yogalife, Sri Aurobindo Ashram and Sivananda, with a splash of workshops and retreats on meditation, mind body medicine and other topics related to wellness. I have been studying Iyengar Yoga for the last 6 years. Yoga has so many benefits. There is yoga for back pain, yoga for weight loss, yoga to reduce belly fat, Melbet for the heart. I now understand why yoga is good for mental health: it helps you achieve balance in every aspect in your life.

At this point in my life, I am a contended person looking to share and exchange my knowledge and experiences with other seekers. I’m Melbet to help people understand what yoga is best for beginners and where to begin.
